Final haul

Ok so nutrition has remained strict which is awesome. I'm gonna try to hot fran this weekend. My 2k row went from 9:53 january 6th to 9:14 march 14th so I'm pumped about that. I did my first strict pullup randomly Tuesday night in my cousins kitchen (there's a video on my fb.) Over all I'm extremely happy with the changes and progress... I can't wait to compare measurements and before/ after pics

Final stretch

So only about 2 weeks left of the challenge... I feel really good, confident and proud of myself. I was living a paleo life style prior to this challenge but only for two months.  However this challenge had really given me the experience and tools to see how I can improve my nutrition. I will continue to be strict for the remainder if the challenge and i'll stay strict after the challenge ... gotta finish strong

Mmmmm lara bars

<p>So the remainder of the challenge I'm staying away from fruit. The only fruit I'm eating is the 1/4 cup of berries I put in my green smoothies. I've been doing a green smoothie a day to ensure I'm getting my leafy greens but I usually put some kind of greens in my eggwhites in the morning and eat some variation of salad for lunch. This week I've continued staying strict and IFing. I bought a bathing suit a few nights ago and wad very pleased trying them on. I'm really looking forward to the summer.  So everyone talks about Lara bars. I've never seen them before. I love them. Its nice eating a snack where I know all the ingredients. Even after the challenge I plan on staying strict for a while.  until I lean out the way I want.

The learning never ends

So I did HORRENDOUS on the snatch WOD which really aggravated me because my one rep max is 85#. However it did show me that I really need to work on them. There are but so worth many times you can muscle it up.  So i'll definitely be working on snatches from now on,  making sure I'm popping my hips.  When I pop my hips the weight goes up no problem so I def need to continue to work on technique.
Strongman was such an awesome cert class.  I learned so much and hope to be able to practice what I learned.  I'm also taking my L1 in may, I'm incredibly excited for this.  2012 is going to be a great year :-)

Making the last month count

So as the last month of the challenge is approaching I'm reflecting in not only the 90 day challenge but the challenges I set for myself in crossfit and maintaining this paleo lifestyle.  I think that people are starting to understand that this is a lifestyle change for me and not some fad diet.  (At least I hope they're starting to understand) I haven't had any cheats except for that day I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  I guess I thought I should have a cheat and that was all I could think of, it was boring and unsatisfying.  So I haven't had any urges to "cheat" really, not even booze.  I honestly could care less about all the refined carbs/sugars. My idea of a cheat is a pmsing cashew binge... not good but hey its no beer and pizza binge.  I've met my goal of pull ups for the challenge, I'm more comfortable with hspu and I'm very happy with my weight, of course I would like to lean out a little more.  I'm still doing intermittent fasting, I really enjoy it and it works for me.

Plan of action for the last month:
-continue strict paleo (no cheats, treats, booze)
-no fruits (except for 1/4 cup berries in green smoothies)
-no nut butters
-limit nut intake, use avocado/coconut oil instead for fat
-no plantains/sweet potatoes
-one green shake a day to ensure getting enough green leafy veggies
-continue eating green leafy veggies with at least two meals a day
-continue working on sucks
-stay focused and positive for the open
-remember how far I've come
-be patient because I will get stronger, faster and better
-continue IF twice a week
-go HARD, and even harder on WODs ... and get over that fear of throwing up/passing out (and if I do well whatever)

I'm excited to do my end of challenge measurements and picture. I'm even more excited for the next open WOD.  I also plan on getting my L1 cert, I really want to do the strongman cert but I'm still waiting on my income tax money :-/.  I just want to learn as much as I possibly can to make me a better athlete.  I guess those are all my thoughts for today. OH! I'm incredibly excited to see robb wolf at new Paltz tonight :-D
